Macau, Bank of China - Posted here are the final two notes of the current series first introduced on 01.02.2024. The two notes are 500 and 1000 patacas and were released to the public on 06.02.2026.

Fiji - Here is a full set of five polymer notes all printed with the replacement prefix of ZZ. This serial was issued on 02.01.2026. For this series, the bank also released this new series in a booklet with all five notes as well as a single note in a folder. The bank has also made uncut sheets available in 2-in-1, 5-in-1, 10-in-one and 45-in-1. I am happy to say that the serial number for the $10 note is the lowest number I have for a replacement note in my entire replacement notes collection. It is always good to have such a banknote in my collection. No doubt, this note will fetch a small extra premium should I decide to sell it one day...

Macau, Banco Nacional Ultramarino - Posted here are the final two notes of the current series first introduced on 01.02.2024. The theme for this 2020 dated series is Macau's historical evolution and transformation, featuring a blend of the city's rich history, culture heritage, and geographical, and these last two notes of 500 and 1000 patacas retain the same themes...

Ethiopia - It has been a long time since I last purchased any Ethiopian banknotes, and here I have posted four notes from the current series. I bought these notes out of curiosity and also these are fairly cheap notes to collect. Ethiopian banknotes were not on my radar but when the dealers sold these in a set, I decided to get them. Whilst the signature on all the notes are the same, not all notes are printed with the same year. The 100 birr is printed with the 2023 year and the rest are printed with 2020. There are three varieties for the 100 birr notes printed with the year dates of 2020 x 1, and 2023 x 2...

Syria - A complete set of six notes all dated 2025. These notes were released for circulation on 01.01.2026 as reform currency at a ratio of 1:100. One of the main purposes is to remove all images of Bashar al-Assad and father Hafez al-Assad in a symbolic break with the past...
