Mexico - Posted here is a full set of five notes issued between 2024 and 2025 commemorating the central bank's 100th Anniversary 1925 to 2025. Banco de Mexico (Bank of Mexico) was established on 1st of September 1925 with its current head office located in the capital city of Mexico. Only five notes have been issued for this commemorative series as the 20 pesos note is not included. The designs for all five notes are the same as all current series in circulation but with commemorative text/logo printed (as above) to celebrate this special occasion. Like the current series, both the 50 and 100 pesos are printed on polymer substrate materials...

Namibia - Here, I have posted a full for five notes all reportedly released on 30.09.2025. The themes for this series are the same as those previously issued but with modified designs and additional security features added to the notes. On the front, the notes depict two Namibia national heroes and on the back it features all four-legged wild animals. The two lower denominations of $10 and $20 are printed on Hybrid substrate materials and both have a transparent square window in the center right. The transparent window is measured 10 x 10mm. The remaining three notes are all printed on paper materials...

Shell V-Power Motorsport Collection 2025 Series -Well, they are back again. In October 2022, Shell Australia released seven Bluetooth remote control cars as toys or collectibles. In addition to the seven individual cars, Shell also released full sets in a presentation box at a price of A$124.95 per set. The presentation box also came with two rechargeable battery packs to power the cars. Fast forward 3 years, and in October 2025. Shell Australia again released another set of 8 Bluetooth remote control cars as toys/collectibles. This time, it is one car more than the 2022 series. The eight cars released for this second series are not the same as those released in 2022...

Transnistria - And there are more to come! This is the 30th commemorative note issued by Transnistria since 2009. Like previous issues, the designs are the same but with the commemorative logo added to the watermark area of the banknote. Transnistria, officially known as the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and to the locals simply as Pridnestrovie, is a landlocked breakaway state internationally recognised as part of Moldova. This note celebrates the 35 years of declaration of independence from Moldavian SSR (now Moldova) on 2nd September 1990...

Bhutan - Like most central banks around the world, standard banknotes are not always printed or reprinted in a full set and I believe this is the only odd note of 50 ngultrum issued in 2021. This is the third issue since this 50 ngultrum note was first introduced in 2008...  

20th December 2025 

Bhutan - I have added another 100 ngultrum printed with the date Series 2020 to my previous post. Only two notes were issued with this date. The other one is 500 ngultrum. This note completes my collection of Bhutan banknotes issued since 2006...

 

Christmas 2025

Tonga - Here is my first set of specimen notes issued by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga (NRBT). I have another set of specimen notes from Tonga but these notes were issued by the Government of Tonga and were issued as a joint venture with the Franklin Mints as a numismatic product in 1978. NRBT was not established until 1989. The notes posted here were the first series ever issued under the authority of NRBT and these notes belonged to the 1992 series...

Somalia - Here, I have posted three notes from the country of Somalia. These three notes are all 1000 shilin and are also from the same design. Two notes are dated 1996 from the same series and the third one is dated 1990 and this 1990 print was issued by a disputed region, called Puntland in Somalia...
