Samoa - I posted the 60 tala commemorative note here on 04.07.2023. The note was issued on 31.05.2023 for the celebration of Samoa's 60th year of independence from New Zealand. To read more above my previous post, please feel free to click here. Now, I have posted the specimen note for this issue. As a specimen note, this note is printed with the serial number ST 0000000 but with no printer control number on the bottom left side of the note. The word "Specimen" is printed diagonally in red in the center of the note on the front and back...

Cambodia - This is a commemorative note of 200,000 riels issued on 16.10.2024 for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Coronation of King Norodom Sihamoni. King Norodom Sihamoni was crowned on 29.10.2004 (-29.10.2024). This is the largest denomination of note issued in the Kingdom of Cambodia since 1955...

8th December 2024

Iraq - Posted here are four notes of 5000, 25000 and 50000 (x2) dinars all printed with the year date of 2023. The 5000 note is printed on paper substrate material and the remaining are on hybrid substrate material. The two 50000 dinars notes are the same designs except it has different signatures on it. The first one is signed by Mustafa Ghaleb Mukheef, who was the bank governor from 2020 to 2023. He voluntarily resigned on 23.01.2023 due to the continuous falling in the value of the Iraqi dinar currency. He was then replaced by Mushen al-Allaq. Apart from the signatures and dates, there are no changes to the designs on all three notes.

The Netherlands Antilles - The Netherlands Antilles, also known as the Dutch Antilles are a group of Caribbean islands comprises the islands of Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten in the Lesser Antilles region, and Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire in the Leeward Antilles (south of the Caribbean). This country was created in 1954 as the autonomous successor of the Dutch colony of Curacao and Dependencies. This union of tiny nations was then dissolved on 10.10.2010 when each nation was granted specific statues by the government in the Netherlands. Since then, Curacao and Sint Maarten became autonomous countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, managing their own affairs with the exceptions of defence and foreign policy...

Singapore - I have added the latest, and possibly the last of the $50 note (nd2024) with two solid houses symbol with the signature of Tharma Shanmugaratran. As Tharma Shanmugaratran is no longer the Chairman of the central bank, since 2023, it is very likely that we will get to see the next $50 with a new signature...

French Pacific Territories - Here I have added the 500 francs to my previous post. This is the third note printed all with matching signatures. I am still missing the 5000 francs print to complete this series. If only I can find one...

Yugoslavia - On 25.08.2024, I posted a 1000 dinara note dated 01.12.1931 issued by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. In my original post, I mentioned that this is the only note I have from this kingdom, and I have no intention to look out for any other notes issued for this series. I visited a local dealer recently for the first time and saw this beautiful 100 dinara note for sale. Obviously I am not good with my words, so I decided to buy this note because it is in uncirculated condition, albeit with a couple of small stains on the top edge of the note. Given that this note is 95 years old, I believe this is acceptable as the note is in great condition. No doubt that I will buy the remaining series if I can find them in the same or similar condition as this 100 dinara note. It is not easy to find old and large size notes in such great condition. Most large size banknotes tend to get folded the moment they are released by the banks, unless you received them by the bundles...
