1st March 2021

SOLOMON ISLANDS - This is a set of two specimen notes issued in 1984, both printed with the portrait of Queen Elizabeth the Second. These two notes are reprints from the first issue in 1977 but with the new bank's name, Central Bank of Solomon Islands. This is the last time that a portrait of a British monarch is printed on a banknote in Solomon Islands. In the 1986 series, the bank replaced the British monarch with the Arms of Solomon Islands.

 

4th March 2021

NICARAGUA - 5 Cordobas commemorative polymer note issued on 01.10.2020, celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Banco Central de Nicaragua 1960-2020. This is the only note issued for this celebration. 

 

8th March 2021

SOLOMON ISLANDS - I have uploaded a specimen note of $50 that was issued in 1986. A full set consists of 5 notes. However this is the only one from this series I have in my collection.

 

15th March 2021

THAILAND - Two commemorative banknotes of 100 and 1000 baht issued on 27.11.2020 celebrating the first anniversary of the coronation of King Rama X. The 1000 baht note, by today's standard is considered as a large note.

 

19th March 2021

NORTHERN IRELAND, DANSKE BANK - I have uploaded the latest £20 Danske Bank polymer banknote issued on 20.07.2020. The designs are the same as the last paper banknote issued but with added security features and a transparent window.  

 

24th March 2021

NORTHERN IRELAND, BANK OF IRELAND - On 20.07.2020, the Bank of Ireland released a new £20 polymer banknote. This is the third issue of the current polymer series. 

28th March 2021

NORTHERN IRELAND, ULSTER BANK LIMITED - Posted here is the Ulster Bank £20 polymer note released on 14.10.2020. This note was supposed to be issued on 20.07.2020 together with the £20 polymer notes issued by the Bank of Ireland Limited and Danske Bank Limited. The initial report was that the delay in releasing this note was due to the error in printing the legal clause on the note due to the bank's parent entity changed its name. The bank later decided to release them anyway and will update the new legal clause for all future issues.
