June 20, 2012 - Tunisia Twenty Dinars, Dated 7.11.1992 P88. This is a nicely designed note with a man on a horse back holding a sword in his right hand. This man is Kheireddine Pacha aka Kheireddine Ettounsi who is also a national hero of Tunisia. This note commemorative note issued to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the bloodless coup d'etat that overthrow the Habib Bourguiba Government (7.11.1987). Interesting to note that all notes issued since 1987 bear the date 7th November until recently. Despite the changed in the political scense in Tunisia, this note is still legal tender (or is not?).

June 15, 2012 - Philippines 100 Piso Commemorative note, 75th Anniversary of Ateneo Law School 1936-2011. The Ateneo de Manila opened its Law School on June 6, 1936, with Manuel Lim as the first Dean. The school was closed temporary in 1941 as a result of the outbreak of the Second World War. The destruction of its buildings during the battle for the liberation of Manila delayed the resumption of classes after the war. In 1948, the Ateneo Law School was reopened and since then the school has produced several bar topnotchers, jurists, legislators, academicians and noted legal practitioners. In 2011, the school celebrated it's Diamond Anniversary and as such, this note was issued to celebrate this very special occasion.

June 3, 2012 - First Trust Bank (FTB) is part of the AIB Group (Allied Irish Bank). The bank is one of the 4 major commercial banks in Northern Ireland thatcurrently issue banknotes. The FTB was formed in 1991 following the merger of TBS Northern Ireland and the AIB Group. The bank orginally started as the Belfast Saving Bank in 1816. It's been a long time since the last release of banknotes by this Bank. I believe the bank's last issue of notes was dated 1998 (1998 in full set).

June 1, 2012 - Papua New Guinea 2012 reprints 50 and 100 Kina Polymer. These two are reprints of the current issue but with new Governor signature of Loi Bakani and Simon Tosali (Secretary, Department of Treasury). Whilst we are aware that PNG had issued new and reprint notes over the past few years, including the 50 and 100 Kina values, however most of these were commemorative overprint issues. The last print for the 50 and 100 Kina polymer (normal notes) was in 2008 and 2007 (first time) respectively. The 100 Kina note is still the largest denomination circulating in the country.
