March 17, 2012 - Here are the 2 notes that I have added to the existing 1000 and 5000 Vatu notes. All these notes are signed by Odo Tevi and Sela Molisa. As we are all expecting to see new Vanuatu polymer notes to be issued in the near future, it is believed that these two notes added will be the last paper banknotes issued for these series. My posting here displayed a complete set excluding the 10,000 Vatu issued in 2010 polymer note.

March 11, 2012 - Thailand 50 Baht. This is a new design of the Thai banknotes series, and this note was issued on 18.1.2012.

This note came (exchanged) from a collector who is currently residing in Canada. Thank you mate. Beautiful note. Always enjoing collecting note like this.

March 8, 2012 - Bank of Scotland. This is a 50 Pounds (P127b) reprint of the Bridge series which was first introduced in 2007. As far as we know this is the only reprint denomination that we known so far. You can also view the full set first issued in 2007 here.

Note: As at 2.3.2012 (US time), my site has been visited by viewers from all 51 States of the USA. The last one collected was from South Dakota..Thanks for dropping by, even many of them were by mistake!

March 3, 2012 - Bangladesh 40 Taka Independence Commemorative note. Following the independence granted by the British government, the Indian subcontinent was divided into two nations in 1947, India and Pakistan. Pakistan was then split into West Pakistan (bordering between India on the right and Afghanistan on the left) and East Pakistan (sandwich between India and Burma) and they are about 1600 kilometers apart from each other. Civil war between West and East Pakistan broke out following the declaration of independence from Pakistan by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (the father of the Nation) on 26.3.1971. The war of independence was known as the Bangladesh Liberation War and lasted for 9 months. Finally victory came on 16.12.1971 when Pakistan surrendered and the new nation of Bangladesh was born. The war against Pakistan was successful mainly due to all out support by the Indian government against Pakistan. This note was issued to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Bangladesh 1971-2011. I was told that the issue price for this folder note was 200 Taka each.

March 1, 2012 - Chile 20,000 Pesos dated 28.7.2010. This is the highest denomination of banknote currently circulating in the country. I have now added this note to my 10,000 pesos dated 2009 previously acquired. Current banknotes circulating in the country are 1,000 (2010), 2,000 (2009), 5,000 (2009), 10,000 (2009) and 20,000. Only the 10,000 and 20,000 are printed on paper materials. The rest are in polymer.
